Can this be used on the super clamp?
Can this be used on the super clamp?
To answer precisely, yes, you could attach the Manfrotto 203 Extension Arm for Mini Clamp
(B&H# MA203) to a Super Clamp.such as the Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud (B&H #MA035R). However, that would likely be a poor choice because the receiver into which the stud (A.K.A. pin) or the arm would go cannot prevent the pin or arm from twisting. Of course, that might not be a problem at all in one use case, but it could lead to difficulties or a disaster in many others. As such, we'd recommend using the Manfrotto 042 Extension Arm with 013 Double Ended Spigot - 6" (B&H# MA042) instead: https://bhpho.to/3mGKiu9
When installed correctly, the hexagonal head of the pin on the end of the arm of the Manfrotto 042 will prevent twisting. The Impact 6" Extension Arm with Spigot for Super Clamp (B&H# IMBHE106) also has that hexagonal head feature and thus would work well for the same reason: https://bhpho.to/3FyK6Wx

Does anyone make this type of device with a round 5/8" pin instead of the 5/8" hex head pin?
Unfortunately, no, we do not have an accessory similar to the Manfrotto 042 Extension Arm with 013 Double Ended Spigot that does not use the hex pin.

What is the maximum weight capacity?
What is the maximum weight capacity?
I went to Manfrotto's web site and requested their response to this question via their chat application. After consulting with their technical support staff, their answer was "Payload would be variable because it would depend on what it's mounted to. The arm goes into the 035 clamp, but what is the clamp on." The 042 is made from a substantial aluminum casting, so I would assume it could handle the full capacity of an 035, which is 15 Kg or 33 pounds. I clamped an 035 to the edge of a door with an attached 042, and hung a Manfrotto 15 pound counterweight from it without any sign of bending in the arm. I added a second 15 pound counterweight which did cause the arm to start bowing noticeably, so discontinued that test before allowing the full weight to hang freely. Based on that, I would not want to go over 15 pounds. If clamping to a light stand or other free-standing support, you would also need to be aware of the stability of the resulting assembly.

question
I notice there is an extra hole at the end of the extension; will the double-ended spigot go into the hole for vertical shots? Thanks.
The spigot will not fit in the whole on the end. It only fits the top and bottom.
