015 Female 3/8" to Male 1/4"-20 Adapter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I needed, plus more The video rig I had purchased noted that it had a 3/8 threaded screw instead of the standard 1/4-20 threaded screw -- no biggie. I ordered this adapter and all was good. BUT it also served an additional purpose that came in handy. I ordered a matte box to go along with the video rig setup and I needed the camera to be a little bit higher to fit the lenses where they were in the center of the matte box instead of at the bottom since the matte box couldn't adjust anymore lower than I had it -- this adapter helped to lift up the camera to accomplish that; problem solved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Just Fine My buddy bought a Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 tripod without realizing he needed to purchase a head unit along with it - and he hadn't budgeted for that, so this was the only thing he could afford. It works perfectly for what it is - it's a perfect fit to the camera and to the tripod. However, as expected, you can't tilt the camera at all with this, you'll need to adjust the tripod legs to get the angle you want. Definitely worth getting a tripod head, but if you're in a pinch, this will work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not but this product This adapter is made from a cheap soft metal that broke off in the tripod socket of my camera. I now need to buy a new tripod socket for my camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I needed an adaptor that would allow me to use a lightstand to hold a recording device at various heights and this was the perfect solution. Recording device had the 1/4 inch hole while the lightstand had the male 3/8 inch. Super solid, all brass construction. Others have commented that these seem poorly made but from what I've seen they are well made and strong. Nice and smooth, no rough edges at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a Collar Thank g*d for Manfrotto. They still make gear that is built to perform and last forever. All of their fittings are no exception. I still have fitting from the mid 1980's that get used every day. Well, just about everyday. There are somedays, like yesterday, when I sat behind the computer all day and didn't use the fittings. So, just about everyday. Either way, they are quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adapter Camera to Microphone stand I used the adapter to attach a small camera to a microphone stand during a recording session. This was a perfect solution for me because I didn't feel like carrying my tripod. I don't recommend it over a tripod but it will certainly stand in as a solid quick fix if you find yourself in a similar situation. It's small so it's not a hassle to have it handy just in case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap, easily broken Worked ok for awhile for adapting my Manfrotto studio tripod to a power tilt/pan head, but since it's made of brass, the thread eventually broke and stayed in the pan head socket, making the (expensive) head useless. Could potentially get broken off into your camera thread as well, making your camera unusable on a tripod. Use only for very lightweight applications!
