Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only Game in Town ! buy in confidence ! I am currently using this Adaptor ring to marry an Italian Made Manfrotto Tripod head with a German made CullMann Tripod that's over 20 years old ! works great !I like its price ! The Finish on the item is great and it feels solid ! and is easy to install or remove without tools ! which is a big plus !There is a small Rubber disk or spacer that sits between the 3/8 treads and the mounting ring ! so far it helps keep the Adaptor secured onto the Manfrotto tripod head but... I'm not sure if I like that extra GIVE or spongeness, it might give the whole assembly ? I would rather have it sit Metal on Metal ! but that's just me !I am very pleased with my purchase !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tripod thread adapter This adapter allowed me to use a new Manfrotto 324RC2 swivel ball type tripod head with a 3/8 hole on an older, sturdy Slik U212 tripod with a 1/4 thread. The adapter fits directly on top of the tripod screw and top surface. The adapter plate is not as wide as the top of the tripod and there is a little bit of a gap between the top plate of the tripod and the bottom plate of the tripod head, however, it does not seem to affect the sturdiness at all. Easy to install, starting using my new Manfrotto right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I use this to put a 3/8 thread on my 1/4-20 threaded monopod, to accomodate a 3/8 threaded ball head. I like this gizmo because it's a good size and easier to see than some others that are tiny and easy to loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice adapter I used this adapter to a Blackrapid strap to a Markins quick release clamp. It adds a little weight, but nothing to worry about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Fix! I bought this adapter to use with a Slik Pro 340DX Travel tripod and a Sunpak 3 way head. Works perfectly and very stable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the Job without additional tools Its better than the bushing inserts that would require a screwdriver. Don't usually carry a screwdriver when shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective Adapter I bought an external mic to make higher quality recordings with my DSLR. I wanted to mount the mic on a tripod to position it closer to my subject and away from my camera. However, the mic has a 3/8 nut and my tripod has a 1/4 screw. This little adapter makes the connection very effectively. The 1.18 knurled flange makes gripping it easy when it is set in place and it has a padded seat to grip the base of the mic without scarring it when its screwed down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too hot So this thing does what it says with a catch. Since it is rubber coated, there will be some play with whatever camera or device you put on top of it. Personally - I think that is ridiculous. What do I mean? - I mean that the unit will be able to move side to side and whatnot ontop of this mount.
