Kowa BD25-8 reviews

8x25 BD25-8 Roof Prism Body (Green) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear & bright I bought a pair of these a year ago for myself to use hunting and found them to be superior to the Steiner Rocky's that I used for the last 15 years. I drew a moose tag this year and bought this pair for my buddy that is coming along for the hunt. He hasn't seen or used them yet, but I have no doubt that he will love them. These have the same internal prisms as those used in the Zeiss Terra ED binoculars which are so popular for their brightness and clarity. These Kowa's are made in Japan and are made with high quality components and are well built. For a compact binocular, I have found none other that compare with the brightness and clarity of these in this price range. B&H promptly shipped these with no shipping charges and threw in a pair of shooting glasses for free, so I don't see how you can beat that deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This little binocular is excellent and for the money it's a great value. Excellent image quality and ergonomics. Views are sharp with hardly any chromatic aberration. Adjustable eyecups allow appropriate eye relief whether wearing glasses or not. I don't use the objective and eyepiece caps. I carry the binocs in the little pouch with binoc neckstrap around my neck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good all around binoculars I purchased these binoculars for birding use. The reason I was looking at a compact or pocket sized binocular is that I wanted something to carry when traveling. I carry an Olympus m4/3 camera to photograph birds and I did not want to add a lot of size and weight to my camera bag. My wife has a pair of Swarovski 8x20 pocket binoculars that are excellent in low light with fabulous image quality. The Kowa BD25-8s measure up nicely by comparison. The image is very sharp, colors are accurate, the low light performance is excellent, focusing is smooth but not too light, and the diopter is easily adjustable and stays put once adjusted. The close focus of under 6' is very useful for butterfly and hummingbird watching. These binoculars are a little large for putting in a pocket but they have a nice case (lens and eye caps for keeping dust out) and a comfortable strap so they are easy to carry. The rubber armor gives good protection while providing a no slip grip. These binoculars have an excellent build quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Darn good looking & looking good binocs. Clear as can be, light as a feather & quick to focus. Although I haven't used them in the woods yet I can tell they are going to be great. Instead of packing that 2 lb binoc package this bitty thing will be great.
