The description says it Included with the product ...
The description says it Included with the product is a removable front element protection disc for lenses. I am thinking the front element protection disc is to be left in to help protect the lens. I'm not clear as to why removing the disc is beneficial. It's listed as a feature that it is removable, but I can't figure why that is a benefit. Can someone explain?
Having the removable front element protection disc is beneficial in the event that it needed to be replaced at some point.

It holds mine nicely and I use it regularly. And since it does, and since I'm never happy, I wish I could get one that would hold the lens along with a camera attached.
