NEC NP4000-09ZL Overview

The NEC NP4000 is designed for educational, corporate and government facilities that require a powerfully projected image. With 5200 lumens the XGA-native NP4000 is ideal for use in applications ranging from command and control centers to training facilities to lecture halls.

It incorporates advanced video processing with BrilliantColor™ and DynamicBlack™ to deliver exceptional picture management control for both progressive and interlaced sources, while making images more vibrant, colors more realistic, and blacks richer with detail. It also offers user-changeable color wheels with four segments for full brightness or optional six segments for superior color fidelity.

Other features include powered lens shift, zoom, and focus for installation flexibility, built-in RJ-45 LAN port for easy integration into a network, and remote diagnostics enabling users to monitor and make adjustments to the projector via the network from a remote location. Also offers single and dual lamp flexibility, supports a host of input signals, has built-in stereo speakers and enhanced security features, and conveniences such as Eco-Mode, Auto Start, and Quick Power-Off function.

High-Quality Projection
Incorporates advanced BrilliantColor video processing to dramatically increase system brightness and color saturation at mid and low video levels, while optimizing color gain across the full color gamut. This allows it to deliver exceptional picture management control for both progressive and interlaced sources, while making images more vibrant, colors more realistic, and blacks richer with detail.
At the same time, DynamicBlack™ monitors the incoming video content and dynamically adjusts the contrast ratio to optimize picture quality for each video frame. This allows for dramatic improvement in the black level of the video, producing incredible detail in dark scenes.
Additionally, it uses image processing called VORTEX™ Technology Plus to improve white level, color accuracy, dynamic range and varying levels of black in an image.
For applications requiring maximum brightness, a 4-segment color wheel is preinstalled. For video quality color reproduction, a 6-segment color wheel is included.
Advanced color management adjusts for input type (high-bright, presentation, video, movie, graphics and sRGB).
With 5200 lumens, the NP4000 is bright enough for most applications.
Flexible Installation
Motorized vertical (50%) and horizontal (10%) lens shift provides the ability to project from off center screen installations. This enables flexible projector placement. Also offers +/-40° vertical and 27° horizontal keystone correction.
Complete line of optional bayonet style lenses allow for a quick and easy lens change. This enables users to determine the appropriate lens to cover projection distances between 2.6 - 283'. The projector comes standard with a 32-63mm power focus and zoom lens for easy installation and operation. The lens has a throw ratio of 2.22-4.43:1 and can project onto a 40-500" diagonal screen from 5.8 to 152.3' away.
Single and dual lamp flexibility allow users to choose a light output that is right for the application while conserving lamp life.
Can be table or ceiling mounted for front or rear projection.
Inputs/Outputs
Flexibility includes three computer inputs (VGA 15-pin, RGBHV, DVI with HDCP), component video (RCA) and S-Video inputs, and monitor output. Has two L/R RCA and three stereo minijack inputs. A variable audio output allows users to control the audio level right from the projector.
Includes RS-232 port for external control, RJ-45 port and USB type B. Also has built-in 3W+3W stereo speakers.
Integrated Networking and Asset Management
Integrated RJ-45 connection for quick connection to a network.
Remote diagnostics enable the user to monitor and make adjustments to the projector via the network from a remote location.
Built-in HTTP page allows for control and monitoring over a LAN network. Email notification of error messages or lamp end-of-life can be sent to remote locations.
Security
Cabinet control lock setting enables users to deactivate buttons to prevent unwanted changes to projector settings.
Password protection restricts unauthorized use of projector.
Kensington lock slot enables a security cable to be attached to the projector.
Conveniences
Automatic signal detection instantaneously connects with the live source.
"Direct Power Off" allows the projector to be turned off (even when projecting an image) by unplugging the power cord or shutting off the power strip. The lamp is protected during the cool down period and lamp temperature is monitored internally during this period to prevent unit power on until the lamp is properly cooled.
Sealed optical block minimizes the effects of dust, helping to ensure the delivery of crisp, distortion-free images.
Auto Start eliminates the need to always use the Power (ON/STANDBY) button on the remote control or projector cabinet.
64-step image magnification with location control.
ECO Mode technology extends lamp life up to 50%, lowers audible noise and reduces total cost of ownership.
12v Screen Trigger enables the projector to automatically raise or lower the projection screen.
Supplied remote control combines ergonomic design and utilityand includes features such as volume and zoom control, freeze frame and a laser pointer.
Includes 2-year parts and labor warranty including the first year of InstaCare. The lamp is covered for one year or 500 hours, whichever comes first. InstaCare provides the original owner one year of either limited 3 business day repair/return or next business day exchange.
