The Shining Technology CitiDISK HD 80 is an 80GB external video capture device designed specifically for Panasonic P2 products, such as the AG-HVX200. Footage is transferred over FireWire to the small drive and is stored as an AVI or MOV files. Loop scene recording allows the user to buffer a finite amount of run time that is constantly being recorded in "Stand-By" mode. This can be very effective for news gathering when important takes place immediately before the camera operator has the ability to press record. These extra few seconds of run time can be critical footage otherwise not recorded.
Backup Power Management
The CitiDISK HD power management feature has an embedded rechargeable lithium battery that can last up to 90 minutes in the event that the 3 hour external battery runs out.

The CitiDISK HD can easily be used with editing systems. The drive automatically mounts on a computer as an external hard drive. Once the disk is mounted, simply copy the files into your editor and you are ready to go!
