My second Sanus mount. (First was wall) and this one installed in my basement through drop ceiling. Super easy install. Holds my 50 led securely and looks good too!

question
The axis of the genu in the hanging tubes, is now perpendicular to the plane of TV. Can I rotate it 90 degrees to make it parallel to the plane of TV?Actually I want to install it in the center line of a room, but the center line of the room has no free space to make the connection in the ceiling. With this solution I can connect the mount 10 inches off center and the TV would stay in the center line.

question
what is the size of the mounting plate?
Approximately 8 x8 . It is not square due to concave edges, but is 8 inches at its widest.
