JVC GRD796US Overview

Good things come in small packages. And the JVC DEMO GR-D796 High-Band Digital MiniDV camcorder is one such thing. This sleek camcorder boasts an incredible 34x optical zoom, making even the farthest of targets seem up close.

A 1/6" 680k pixel CCD captures, clear crisp visuals, while the Aspherical f/2.0 Super Bright Lens, Auto Illumination Light, and NightAlive mode supplement and boost available light in low-light conditions. Additionally, the 3D Noise Reduction provides an improved signal to noise ratio, for a cleaner more enjoyable video experience. This is one small camcorder that's capable of producing some big results.

The GR-D796 also allows you to capture still images while recording video. The pictures can be captured in 640 x 480 resolution and saved onto memory cards via the SD/MMC card slot.

The GR-D796 is the step-up model for the GR-D770 as it includes an extra 135 minute BN-VF808 battery pack.

Zoom Away! with Picture Stabilizer
With an unprecedented 34x optical zoom the GR-D750 can see get closer to an image than ever before. The Electronic Image Stabilizer makes sure that the image remains unblurred even at full lens extension.
Web Camera Function
You can connect the camcorder to your computer via IEEE-1394 interface and use it like a web camera for teleconferencing and remote monitoring applications. ImageMixer software bundled with the camcorder also lets you easily upload clips to your PC and email them as MPEG-4 files.
Simultaneous Photo Recording
During video recording, the camcorder is able to simultaneously capture VGA quality (640 x 480 pixels) digital photos onto a memory card. This is perfect for those who want to capture e-mail ready photos, without interruption.
Data Battery
This battery allows you to check remaining battery and recording time by simply touching one button, even with the power turned off. You can also use the Data Battery to check what remains for both the battery and recording time before shooting. You never have to worry about the battery running out during shooting.
NightAlive
JVC's NightAlive feature boosts light sensitivity for a bright picture, even in situations with minimal illumination. It gives you full color images, whether your subject is close by or far away.
Special Effects
A combination of built-in digital special effects, wipes and fades will give your videos a polished and professional look.
Quick Power Off
The GR-D750's power shuts off when you close the LCD screen, making sure that you don't waste power when your camera is off.
