The Cortex HDC500 Controller and Media Player is a rack-mountable DJ workstation for those who prefer mass storage devices as their media of choice. The controller features a USB input and will read and playback MP3 and WAVE files from USB thumb-drives, iPods, etc. CD audio is also supported with connected CD-ROM drives. An active USB Hub will support up to four storage devices and a large display enables easy maneuvering through menus and song selection. The HDC500 controller also supports and reads an iPod playlist. The unit mounts into a standard 19-inch rack but also includes hardware for desktop mounting.

Due to Apple limitations, the iPod iTouch, iPhone & Mac formatted Classics are not compatible with Cortex products.
