Panasonic BLC30A Overview

The Panasonic BLC-30A features 802.11b/g wireless technology enabling the camera to connect to the network without using any cables. Once connected, the camera can be viewed and controlled from anywhere in the world simply by logging on to the Internet and entering the camera's unique IP address on a PC, PDA or even a compatible cell phone with no special software required. Up to 12 cameras can be viewed remotely on one screen, with the ability to control the pan and tilt of each camera. Using a built-in heat sensor, the camera can detect a person entering the room, at which point, the camera will start recording to a hard drive and will also send a notification via email.

The camera features a privacy mode which is activated by pressing a button on the camera; a red blinking light comes on indicating that the camera is now off the network. The camera can be mounted on the wall or a tripod.

Remote Access
The camera can be viewed and controlled from anywhere in the world by logging on to the internet and entering the camera's unique free IP address into a PC, PDA or even a compatible cell phone with no additional software required. Up to 20 clients can access the camera simultaneously, with password authentication determining the level of accessibility for each client. Up to twelve cameras can be viewed remotely on one screen with the ability to control the pan and tilt of each camera.
Wireless
The BLC-30A camera uses wireless 802.11b/g, 2.4 GHz technology, requiring no cables to connect to the network. Once connected, powerful encryption and SSID filtering protects the camera from illegal hackers and network infiltrators.
Heat Sensor
The camera will automatically detect a person entering a room, at which point the camera will start recording images to a hard drive and will also send a notification via email.
Privacy Setting
The camera features a privacy mode which is activated by pressing a button on the camera. A red blinking light comes on indicating that the camera is now off the network. The privacy mode can also be accessed remotely, using password authentication.
