The Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 AF DX Fisheye Lens for Canon is a rectangular (non-circular) fisheye lens, providing a 180° diagonal field of view. The broad angle of view gives an inherent curved, fisheye effect and can be used to capture expansive spaces from a relative close range.

This lens' front element features a WR (water repellant) coating for easier cleaning and less susceptibility to water spots and smudges. The rear optical group contains one super-low dispersion (SD) glass element in order to reduce chromatic aberrations and provide a cleaner appearing image.

Note: This lens is compatible with APS-C-sized sensors only and will not provide a full, rectangular image when used in conjunction with a full-frame sensor.

Fisheye Design
This lens' 10-17mm focal length provides an ultra wide angle of view from 180-100°, allowing for greater depth of field and more ease when photographing in tight spaces.
Lens Coating and Optical Design
This lens integrates a WR (water repellant) coating to the front element in order to lessen the appearance of water spots, smudges, and to help with cleaning the glass itself. There is also a super-low dispersion (SD) glass element to help reduce chromatic aberrations and provide greater optical purity.

10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X 107 AF DX Fisheye Lens for Canon is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 97.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from FOrget what everyone else says!!!! First thing first. The product specifications say minimum focus of 5 or something inches. I can focus like 2 cm away from the lens. I got these lens for my canon xsi and at 10mm, it really is 180 degrees of view. I thought it would be cut off or something. You get the real fisheye feel on cropped cameras. I don't even know why some people say the focusing is slow, it's pretty fast compared with the nifty fifty. it's just louder that's it. The zoom is also great, cause it's like a super wide on 17mm and a fisheye on 10mm. It's like carrying 2 different type of lens in one! The only bad thing is the 3.5 apreture and the push-in lens cap. other then that, this lens beats the sigma 10mm f/2.8 fisheye lens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what you think, but has good points First and foremost... this is not a fish to wide zoom, it is a zooming fisheye. The distortion stays the same at all focal lengths. However, this is the best fisheye out for digital cameras. The reason I say this is that if you are like me, and have both full-frame and APS-C sized cameras, this lens will work on both. I know it says you can't, but the way the mount is designed, it doesn't protrude into the mirrorbox like some other lenses made for digital. I normally shoot with a 5D and 40D. Now I can take a fisheye with either camera. It may not be 180 degrees with the 5D because I can only use it at about 15mm, but the distortion is good enough to fake it. If you are thinking about getting a decent fisheye that can work on pretty much any camera from a DsMKIII to a Rebel, this is it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, versatile lens I've had this lens for about 8 months, and I again am impressed with Tokina (I also own the 12-24 f/4). This lens is sharp at all apertures, and is just a wonderful lens for extreme wide angle shooting. From true diagonal fisheye at 10mm to a near rectilinear ultra-wide at 17mm, this is a very unique and versatile lens. Excellent color and contrast, and exceptional build quality (a hallmark of Tokina lenses.) There is chromatic abberation at high contrast edges from time to time, but I find it is completely correctable in postprocessing. I've used this lens for everything from interior architecture, unique portraits, group shots and landscapes. The lens focuses EXTREMELY close, so you can really accentuate size if you so desire. I love this lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tokina Fisheye on Canon T3i Just purchased the Tokina for my Canon T3i. Mainly using it for video but also pictures. The images are crystal clear and so is the video. The only thing I saw that was on the lens that I didn't really see a need for was the zoom. It is nice to have a zoom on it so you can adjust the distortion, but the distortion doesn't really change that much going from 10mm-17mm. Although the f-stop only goes down to 3.5, it's really good for night shots, which I already experimented with and they came out great. Overall I love this lens. If you have a T3i or any of the Rebel series this is the fisheye to go with...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Bought this lens specifically for underwater photography after reading all the positive reviews but its been a total disappointment. Lots of flare in high contrast situations, slow to focus on AF and very soft edges. Overall image quality of my old Canon 18-55 kit lens seems better. Have also had lots of problems with the lens freezing up and giving an Err 99 message on the camera. Only happens with this lens so I am confident the problem is with the lens and not the camera. The instruction manual and Tokina support is also very poor. In retrospect should have gone for the Canon 15mm fisheye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really fun!! But be careful Really fun, but be careful, you will get exactly what you are buying: a fish-eye. Why I say this?? Because I am enjoying it (it is what I was looking for) but, after the first weeks, I have figurated that I will like to have an extra wide angle too; and I didn't have this need before!! You know, as many toys you have, more toys you need...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from #1 in the water or at the halfpipe First off i wouldn't pay too much attention to the below avg. reviews from the people below who take surf photography in Denver? this is my 2nd 10-17(1st one stolen) so had to replace this right away. very fun lens all around but if you do any serious water photography it is a must have. Most housing companies have also formed a port specifically for the Tokina to assist you with any surf or dive photography. I considered Canon 15mm but decided after some reviews to just stick w/ the one I was already happy with. It is NOT for every scenario or photographer and can get a bit limited, but if you want to get a Surf,Skate,or Dive Magazine cover, then this lens will catch that for you on your 1st go!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best choice ever! I was struggling trying to decide between the canon fisheye, the sigma, and this one. I ultimately choose this one because of the high ratings and good price along with the fact that it wasn't fixed. I couldn't be more happy with my decision. When I shoot with it at 10mm I really get the fisheye effect and when I zoom into 17mm it almost looks like I'm shooting with a wide angle. Best of both worlds! I've taken several wonderful photos with it already and I plan on taking many more.
