The 2 x 2" Tiffen Combination 85/ND Filter blends both an amber color conversion 85 and a 1.2 neutral density filter. The ND filtration provides a 4-stop exposure reduction for darkening the entire image in order to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. The 85 filtration covers the entire filter plane and converts the color temperature to 3400K for use with type A (tungsten) films.

My understanding is that an 85 filter reduces light by 2/3 of a stop. Does the 85ND.3 reduce light by 1 stop or 1 & 2/3 stops?
The Tiffen Combination 85/ND Filter (4 x 5.65", 1-Stop) provides a 1-stop exposure reduction of the overall image.
