    K-Tek K-MTS reviews

K-Mount Microphone Shock Mount Suspension System (Short Version) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from worthless the shock mount isolates the mic quite nicely. In a dialog however, when I roll the mic between actors, this shockmount induces a rumbling self noise. I don't know where this noise is coming from, I don't see/feel any moving parts except for the rubber bands.I can handle the mic on a pole quieter with a hard mount than with this shock mount.I would recommend this only in a static setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, worth every penny. I use this shock mount with a Sony ECM 672 short shotgun mic. The shock mount is mounted on a K Tek aluminum boom pole. The ECM 672 is an older, but great sounding mic, and this shock mount works perfectly. The suspension system isolates handling noise and supports the mic very well. I used to have the crossed rubber band style shock mount, but the mic always slipped out of this suspension system. While other people have noted that this suspension system is hard to install and slip over their mics (and it is), my shotgun mic is held very securely and doesn't slip out at all. So while it is difficult to install, I believe that this minor issue is more than compensated by the outstanding isolation and security provided. As long as you keep the mic in the mount you'll be fine. If you need to swap the mic in and out then this suspension system may not be your first choice. I will also note that the pivot system locks tightly, and has an adjustable handle. This is a very well built and rugged shock mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Mic Schock Mount I use this shock mounted on the top of my teleprompter in shooting talking heads video instruction. It work great! The only rub is that it is a littl tightfor my Sennheiser ME65 mic & power module & requires a push to set it setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Shockmount, Couldn't Ask For More Love this mount, used it with a Schoeps CMC5MK41, it worked flawlessly. Gave me freedom to move often and move quickly, and has an incredibly secure grip on the microphone. No worries about the mic, no rumble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well Sturdy and well designed, it holds my short shotgun mic perfectly and transfers only a minimum amount of handeling noise.
