    Manfrotto 181 reviews

181 Folding Auto Dolly is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from well made but not very versitile The protduct it self is a fine one, but for the ways I had planned to use it, it has limited me. I would have rather had a Dolly that could be adjusted. There is no way to make it smaller if you have a tight spot you need to move through. If you have plenty of space I recommend this product, if not or not sure where you may be traveling, you may want to check into one that is more versitile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect quality I bought this dolly together with a Manfrotto 028B STUDIO PRO TRIMAN TRIPOD. They are working together perfectly. The dolly moves so smoothly that you want to push the whole stuff around and around in your studio all day. Great quality! There is something what is not a real drawback but something you need to keep in mind. If your tripod is not able to stretch its legs to a very wide position then you will need to pull the legs out and raise the tripod up to about chest level in order to make the legs fit into the attachment points of the dolly. So when you need to shoot from significantly lower then eye-level, you will need to remove the tripod from the dolly - takes too much time. Anyway, this is a great and high quality stuff when you need mobility in the studio without sacrifying the stability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big mistake It's very hard to control the movement of this dolly. I used it once (on a flat surface). Never again. You have to get a running start to get the wheels to go in the right direction, then you might get 2 seconds of stable video before it drifts in the wrong direction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tri-pod because of the expandable use this product in banquet halls where space at times are very limited You can make it smaller or large diameter in just a couple of minutes the locking feet are to long and hang up on carpeting

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Product I got this to move my tripod around in a studio environment and, for that purpose, it is outstanding. It unfolds easily and set up is a breeze as the tripod legs just 'slot in' - no thumb screws or anything. The pedal brake is ingenious and allows the whole rig to sit rock solid on the floor with a single flip. A reverse flip then allows it to roll again. The build is strong and the wide base inspires confidence when putting expensive equipment on it. Recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 181 Folding Auto Dolly by Manfrotto This dolly is nice, but you really need to use it on a super smooth floor, ie, smooth concrete, marble or tight carpet. I found more then once that my foot would catch the locking mechanism and ruin my shot. But ya I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is sweet This thing is nice, beside the fact that it makes any tripod look ten times better, plus it is very light weight and really really easy to move around even with the camera already mounted
