This is a very nice little tabletop tripod. It's Manfrotto which should tell you all you need to know about it's quality. I would have given it five stars but I was expecting a 1/4 x 20 threads. When I received it and found out that I now needed to purchase a head, I went back and read the specs and there it was 3/8 x 16. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the tripod's 3/8 x 16 info was kinda buried .

Is it 1/4 or 3/8 screw?
Is it 1/4 or 3/8 screw?
It is a fixed 3/8 inch screw attachment, held in place on the bottom by a lock bolt. It will hold a full size tripod head very securely, even though the plate is small.
