The Hitachi KP-D531 is a color box camera equipped with highly advanced electronic picture controls. These enable the camera to produce visible images in virtually any lighting environment. This level of performance makes it the camera of choice for critical commercial or governmental security applications.
Thermoelectric CCD Cooling
A thermoelectric cooling system is used on the CCD to reduce the effects of dark current noise caused by long exposure times.
Auto Change Integration
An Auto Change Integration process - activated by an IR cut filter mechanism - switches the camera from color to B/W mode when light levels fall. Working in conjunction with CCD exposure time and field memory, it effectively enhances the camera's sensitivity to light from a factor of 2 to 64 times that of a conventional CCD camera.
DSP (Digital Signal Processing)
When confronted by tricky lighting situations, this camera has powerful DSP tools that in can tap into and self correct. This can include situations where the subject matter is brightly lit from behind or images containing bright and dark areas within the same frame.
Electronic Zoom with Pan/Tilt Function
Users can activate the camera's 4x digital zoom in order to bring objects of interest into close view. This function also incorporates an electronic Pan & Tilt feature.
