The Hitachi KP-F500SCL is a high resolution B/W camera for use in factory automation and image processing applications. Special consideration went into the design of the camera in order keep it as small as possible. Of equal importance is its durable construction, which together with the camera's compactness will allow its use with tight-fitting and heavy-duty machinery. To further simplify installation, this camera uses a single Mini Camera Link cable - carrying video, data and camera control - to connect to the frame grabber board on the system. For added versatility, users can choose between various shutter speeds in order to dial-in the proper exposure according to the camera's or object's degree of motion and available light levels.
Mini CL (Mini Camera Link)
A Mini Camera Link cable provides high speed video data communication between the camera and the frame grabber board on the system. To maintain the camera's compact profile, this connector is in the form of a small SDR port. The maximum length of a Camera Link cable is 33 feet (10m).
Multi-Step Shutter
Users can choose between different shutter speeds to maintain optimum image quality for fast or slow moving objects in various light levels.
Frame-on-Demand
An external triggering device can be used to capture an image at a given timing and with accumulation time options.
Partial Scan
By adjusting the start position and image width, users can get higher frame rates in partial scan mode.
