The Hitachi HV-F22F-S1 is a 3CCD camera of the type used in machine vision, factory automation, microscopic and medical imaging applications. Images are captured at a resolution of 1360 x 1024 and at speeds up to 7.5 FPS, and are sent to a computer for viewing and for processing via an IEEE1394 connection. Included with the camera is a user-friendly GUI software program, giving users the ability to remotely configure camera settings from a computer. With this program, users can manipulate each of the primary RGB colors in order to achieve a very accurate color rendition. Users can also change shutter speeds, gamma and other electronic controls in order to obtain optimum signal stability and image quality.

6-Color Independent Masking
Each color of the R,G,B,Ye,Mg and Cy is presented as a numeric value and can be independently manipulated for hue, depth and other color characteristics. Accurate color rendition is a most important feature in numerous automated applications. For example, the ability to differentiate between different shades of red will allow fruit distribution facilities to separate ripe tomatoes from overripe and under ripe ones. It can also be used in printing facilities to detect uneven lines and by auto manufacturers to detect uneven coating or scratches on a car's paint work.
Frame-on-Demand Function
An external device can be used to trigger the camera to capture still or moving images at a given time. When a single trigger pulse is inputted, exposure will start at the rising edge of the pulse and will end at the falling edge. V.SYNC will automatically reset itself following image delivery, with Pulse width corresponding to the exposure time.
