Raynox DCR2025PRO Reviews
Sharp BUT...
Sharp with only slight loss of contrast - corners sharp with slight barrel. BUT - using it on SONY Handycam CX900, almost no zoom range w/o vignetting and it seemed to me as if the Steady Shot didnt work at all when the 2.2X was on.
Great for eclipse shots! Worth the money!
Bought this specifically to use with my Panasonic FZ1000 to photograph the August 21, 2017 eclipse. The lens is all plastic and I have concerns about the plastic lens threads getting damaged over time, especially if you screw up threading it on to another lens and tighten before catching that it isn't centered. So be very careful when you screw this on to another lens. Having said that, the eclipse photo I shot is great. Gave me an equivalent 880mm with the FZ1000 zoomed out to 400mm. About the only thing I would improve on the lens is the coating as I did get some weird flare on some shots, especially around the eclipse Diamond Ring phase. So in summary, it helped me get killer eclipse shots so for me, the pros out weigh the cons.
