Will this attach well to my Velbon tripod's head?
I have used this platform on both a 1/4" Bogen tripod and a 3/8" mount Mini Salon stand to support both projectors and (Small) laptop computers. It is very stable. Manfrotto calls out using the magic arm device - you'd only need that if mounting it to a Mini-pin lightstand.
