Is this compatible with the Manfrotto 035RL Super ...

Is this compatible with the Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud? i want to attach my DSLR to it to take overhead shots. What is the difference between this plate and the Manfrotto 208HEX Head Mounting Plate? Thanks
Asked by: Marlene
Yes it is compatible. I use Manfrotto super clamps. The hex stud only inserts when the hex is lined up. It positively will not rotate. This stud does have a flat side on the stud that the lock can be tightened against, so it will not rotate either, IF you align the flat side AND tighten the lock. (The stud head is round though, not hex shaped)

question

Can I mount this on a traditional grip head with a boom arm?
Asked by: Alexander
That particular combination is unknown. It is our opinion that as long as you test it, that the grip head should be able to hold this plate. We also think that using a Super Clamp would be a better interface. Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud B&H # MA035RL
