First Studio Backdrop Pole is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect companion for remote shoots Combined with a couple of light stands, the photoflex backdrop pole fills the exact need for setting up a backdrop environment in a client's home, for example. Construction is excellent and even when extended the full width provides more than adequate strength to support your muslin or other fabric backdrops. I've not tried rolled paper yet, but I don't see a reason why that would not work either. I picked up standard clamps from ... (Huge kit of multiple size for under $7 - can't beat it, and you can never have enough clamps. :-) I would highly recommend the Photoflex pole. Great value for the dollar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Fantastic- Too Bad is Discontinued Instead of buying an standard background kit I decided to buy 2 c-stands because they are 100 times more sturdy and you can use them for many other things when you are not using the background like supporting very expensive light. The kits usually come with stands that will not be suitable for holding expensive equipment. The problem of this alternative is that most of the background poles will require extra adapters for the top of the C-stand. This Background pole has a very wide hole that fits perfectly on C-stands. Too bad that it is discontinued.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! This pole is fantastic. I just wish the nuts on the ends were not so large so you didn't have to take one off in order to thread the pole through the seamless. Other than that the smoothness in which it extends is easy. It goes up to 12ft and it packs down small, but it could be a bit smaller since it won't fit in any cases of mine, but I managed to get creative with the seamless tube and I just gaff table it to the seamless tube. That seems to work for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from well it works... There is not much to say. It's a pole that goes between two stands. And it works as expected. Defiantly plenty strong. It fits the stud on top of light stands perfectly. My only bad point is I have to totally remove the set screw on one end to put on my background. The set screw should be off the end not on the side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TOOOOO LONG It is very long and NOT possible to carry arround .... I purchased it because of its 12 feet length ... However, it does its job, seems like durable, very minimal sagging, only at the length of 12 feet. Non locking design is ok ... but would be more secure. It is NOT portable ... I have tried even 48 Tenba rolling light stand case ... no help ... the length written is wrong.... However, good to use in studio. I will have to purchase Manfrotto crossbar.... again this is the example of purchasing the wrong product online ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice functionality for the price I use this product both at home and on the road whenever I need shots that require a backdrop. This unit is compact when collapsed for easy travel and has nice build quality. It is very versatile as you can use it with any pair of lightstands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Backdrop Pole When you have a bunch of stands and need a backdrop, why buy a backdrop kit when you can just buy the pole. At 12'6 this is the widest I could find on BH. This is a good telescoping pole. Photoflex is first rate equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple tool, works like it should Great portable backdrop pole. Light enough but strong enough to do the job. With two stands and a backdrop, you have a set.
