Great for safely observing sunspots, transits, and eclipses, the Solarscope is a practical tool for indirectly observing the sun. The sun's light enters this shadowbox and is reflected back upon an internal surface, which displays solar activities. It's easily viewed by a small group of people.
This model is constructed of medium-density wood fiberboard, and like the "Self-Assembled" Solarscope it requires assembly; the glue is included. They intend this to be a fun exercise between father and son or teacher and student.
The Solarscope's a very good teaching tool, and comes with an Education Kit and a workshop manual.
