The cover is great quality but it is a smaller outside diameter than the scope. I've discussed this with Vortex before and wish they would change. You must have 2 different sized covers, 1 for the scope, another for the shade...why?

Why doesn't the outside diameter or color of the sunshade match the scope?
Because it fits many scopes and black tends to work for everything.
