Explosion Proof System
The ExSite Positioning system is constructed of an Electropolished stainless steel material, tough enough to withstand an explosion. As such, it is an obvious choice use in military, coast guard and similar monitoring environments of an extreme nature.
Withstands Extreme Temperatures
Along with its tough exterior, this unit features a built-in heater, window defroster/defogger and blower. Together, these help to keep the camera and system operational in temperatures ranging from a high of 140°F (60°C) to a low of -76°F (-60°C). Additionally, this unit can be de-iced and operational within two hours after an initial internal temperature of -13°F (-25°C).
Optional Window Wiper
To further increase its all-weather worthiness, this unit accepts an optional wiper system, effective in keeping the viewing window clear in any weather condition. As with a car's wiper system, this wiper can be programmed to delay between wipes and to automatically shut off after a specified period.
Variable Speed Pan & Tilt Operation
Pan and tilt motion can be operated at speeds ranging from 0.1 to 40 degrees per second, both in manual and preset modes. This camera also supports eighty preset positions, with a preset accuracy of plus or minus 0.1 degrees. As with a PTZ camera, this system is also capable of 360° pan rotation to avoid incurring any blind spots when executing a complete circle.
Built-In System Memory
Various camera settings like labels, presets, patterns and zones can be stored into a built-in memory system. These settings can be recalled if the camera is installed in a different pan and tilt unit.
