JMI Telescopes MOTOFOCUS is a motorized electronic focusing mechanism that affixes to your Meade ETX-90, ETX-105, and ETX-125 telescope's knob (all versions).  It installs easily, and can be quickly detached for transport.  MOTOFOCUS is particularly helpful with the ETX scopes when viewing near zenith, because it is very hard to reach the ETX's focusing knob at this position.  JMI's miniature 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.4" motor/gear box package really stays out of the way.

MOTOFOCUS operates off of a supplied 9-volt battery; with a bit of practice, you'll be able to adjust your focuser in increments much smaller than the width of a business card.  In particular, springing for the MOTOFOCUS gives you much more enjoyable high-magnification viewing from your scope, with finer control over the image and much less user-induced vibrations.  In the case of this ETX version, a tiny handbox called InstaFocus affixes to to the top of your normal Meade hand controller.
