The canon white Lens Cover for the Canon 400mm f/2.8L (Non-IS) Lens from LensCoat covers the lens with a 100% closed-cell neoprene coat, offering protection from bumps, jars and nicks. This coat will allow you to blend in with your surroundings. It is ideal for nature, outdoor photographers, sports shooters and photojournalists.

A LensCoat Lens Cover also provides a thermal barrier, protecting your hands from cold lenses in lower temperatures. It is easy to install and remove, leaving no residue on the lens. LensCoat Lens Covers are waterproof, providing protection in harsh conditions. There is also a handy orientation hole that will help mount the lens when the cover is used. This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable. Or, it can be used just for its protection value.

question

Does this fit the 400 2.8 ii non is?Can't find the difference in specs between the i and ii
Asked by: Leland D.
I contacted LensCoat with your inquiry. Unfortunately, they do not have a LensCoat designed for the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM (non-IS) lens released in 1996. Due to the small design differences between the lenses, none of the current LensCoat options would be compatible for use with the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM lens you own. LensCoat states that if you contact them directly and if they can find a copy of the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM lens, they may be able to make a custom LensCoat for $195.00. I hope that helps.
