    Gitzo GS5030VSF reviews

GS5030VSF Retractable Spiked Feet Adapter Set (3 Pieces) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice replacements I bought these because I had lost one of the feet to my Gitzo tripod. I'm planning on going to do a trek in India and figured these spiked feet will work very well with the ground we'll be trekking on. The spikes are very strong. Don't think it'll break anytime soon. unscrew the rubber feet to it's lowest point to make it just rubber feet if you don't wanna scratch up floors. They are a little chunkier than the ones the tripod came with. They can be installed very easily. Just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones. Can't get any simpler than that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade your older Gitzo for the field I own several Gitzo carbon tripods, including the hefty G1325 which is my main tool in the field. I love the tripod and use it for both Canon FF and 4x5 film cameras. It came with fixed, glued in rubber feet which are fine on pavement or indoor surfaces. However those rubber tips lack sufficient grip on broken dirt or rocky ground. These accessory spike feet provided the perfect solution. I used a hacksaw to cut off the tapered tip of each foot, then drilled and tapped a 1/4x20 hole through the remaining rubber plug. Now these spike feet screw snugly into the rubber. With a spin of the new rubber tips I have either spikes or soft feet. It took me about ten minutes to make the upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accessories for my Gitzo tripods I am using these spiked feet for all my Gitzo tripods for the last several years. They are very versatile. For hardwood/tile or floors that you don't want to scratch, extend the feet all the way so that the rubber covers the spikes. For other terrain, I just use the exposed spikes that provide more stable anchor to the ground. Light snow, dirt, sand, and rocks are good with spikes. I think the pictures are sharper using spikes vs rubber. They seem to last quite well. I don't see any downside of it. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tripod foot adapter works well I replaced the supplied screw-in stainless steel spikes on the feet of my Induro ( also Benro) carbon fiber tripod with the Gitzo GS5030VSF feet and they work perfectly. I easily retracted the circular rubber rings letting the spikes grab in soft earth, stabilizing the tripod well. It is easier and faster to use this instead of the time needed to remove the rubber feet and exchange them for the threaded supplied Induro feet. Also , I don't have to carry another set of feet with me. I can't think of anything that is not great .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Replacement Feet When I bought my Gitzo legs, the salesperson at my local shop warned me about the feet and recommended I use locktite to prevent them from falling off. Sure enough, I ignored his advice and I lost one of the feet somewhere in Arizona. I rushed to @and found three bolts that fit right into the legs. It helped prevent dust and sand from getting inside the legs for the rest of the trip. I ordered these feet as soon as I got back, I locktite'd them and with the added advantage of the spikes, I feel ready for the next trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Support It was very fortunate that I lost one of the feet from my Gitzo tripod. I ordered these spiked feet and I am glad that I have them. I shoot mostly outdoor landscapes and animal images and really appreciate the solid support these feet give me on all types of surfaces. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got Exactly What I Ordered These Gitzo feet need a stop on them so our guys cannot unscrew them so far that they fall off. The replacement feet are exactly the same as the originals as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spiked Feet for Gitzo I use this product as a replacement for the rubber feet that came with the tripod (3531GT - I lost one of those the first week). You have to manually switch the feet between rubber and the spiked configuration, but it;s perfect to have both options. A bit of Loctite (least potent) helps keep the feet from coming loose in sand or tides.
