Vixen Optics D2M Dual Axis Motor Drive & Controller Set

The D2M Dual-Axis Motor Drive Set from Vixen gives you everything you need to attain motorized right ascension and declination movement upon the Vixen GP2, GPD2, and Great Polaris series equatorial mounts-a controller, two motors, connection cables and a battery box.

The D2M features 1.5x, 2x, and 32x forward movement as well as 32x reverse movement.  

The DD-2 controller within the D2M set operates upon 8 "D" batteries, and will yield approximately 20 hours of operation time at 68° Fahrenheit (20° Celsius).  You can adapt the DD-2 to run off of AC power with Vixen's #3599 AC adapter, or if you're in the field away from an electrical outlet you can use the #8643 Cigarette Lighter Adapter to power the DD-2 from a vehicle's cigarette lighter or from the Celestron Power Tank.

When the motor drives are installed, you can no longer manually slew the mount.  If you wish to quickly move the mount without using the controller, purchase two of Vixen's optional #3828 manual operation clutches.
