The Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd Digital Camera has an ultra-slim all metal body that will turn heads whenever and wherever it is used. And despite being less than 1" thick, it is packed with state-of-the-art technology and advanced features. The camera has a resolution of up to 10.0 megapixels for detailed images and poster size prints, and it includes a 5x optical zoom lens, and Dual Image Stabilization with CCD-shift image stabilization. In addition, the camera incorporates Face Detection, which works by using an algorithm to optimize focus, white balance and exposure for up to ten faces in a single frame that adds automatic red eye removal that works in tandem with the Face Detection system to find and instantly correct any red eye from every face in the frame, and relieves you from having to manually remove red eye on your PC.

The slender design of the FinePix Z200fd includes a unique 'diagonal slide' lens cover, and is almost totally flat, so the camera can be carried in a shirt or jacket pocket, yet it boasts an impressive 5x optical zoom lens covering a wide zoom range. The camera features Dual IS (Image Stabilization), to avoid the problems of camera shake at longer focal length the camera features CCD-shift image stabilization, and to further reduce the chance of blur spoiling shots in low light the camera also features sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600, allowing natural images that retain the atmosphere of evening events to be taken without the use of flash. If a Flash is needed, the Intelligent Flash system sets the power output to achieve natural foreground illumination with balanced background exposure - resulting in more natural looking photos. There is also a Dual Shot Flash mode that takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without.

The FinePix Z200fd features a large high-resolution 2.7 inch (230,000 pixel) LCD screen with a reinforced glass coating for scratch-free durability. A redesigned graphical user interface and control layout ensures that the powerful feature set remains easy to use even for the novice digital camera user, and a micro thumbnail view (showing 100 shots on one screen) and control wheel makes sharing the largest collection of images a pleasure.

5x Non-extending Zoom Lens
The FinePix Z200fd features an innovative non-extending, refractive optical zoom lens, which provides faster start-up and bring your subject closer to you with a 5.0x Optical Zoom (equivalent to 33-165mm on a 35mm camera). The camera also has a 5.7x Digital Zoom that lets you get even closer providing a combined 28.5x total zoom range.
Dual Image Stabilization
The FinePix Z200fd assures that your images will be as sharp as possible with Dual Image Stabilization. The camera combines a sensor shift mechanical image stabilization system, which compensates for movements in the photographers hand, with Fujifilm's Picture Stabilization Technology that takes advantage of the high sensitivity of the camera for faster shutter speeds and the ability to freeze the motion of the subject, so that increased clarity and sharpness is achieved, even in low light conditions. The combination of the two is the ultimate in stabilization technology.
Face Detection with Automatic Red Eye Correction
The FinePix Z200fd features Fujifilm's Face Detection Technology, which significantly improves your picture taking by identifying human subjects' faces in the frame (up to 10 faces) and in real time, determines the best possible focus and exposure settings for the absolute best results possible in any shooting conditions. Furthermore, the camera incorporates a sophisticated, intelligent software algorithm to detect red-eye and correct it in-camera after the image has been captured, to assure every picture looks its best.
Advanced Self-Timer Functions
The combination of self timer and face detection functions adds an element of flexibility and fun to the familiar self-timer function. The Couple Timer waits until two faces are close together in the frame. Select "Near", "Close-up" or "Super-Close" depending on the level of intimacy you're aiming for, The Group Timer mode gives you time to get into position as it waits until the specified number of faces are detected in the frame - selecting up to 4 faces.
TV-quality Video Recording
The FinePix Z200fd includes a VGA Quality Movie mode that captures at a rate of 30 fps with sound, so you can use your compact digital still camera to produce broadcast quality video clips. The camera also has a One Touch Movie Button to quickly engage the movie mode, plus the camera allows for effective movie editing with the Successive movie feature that allows users to select any previously recorded movie file and "resume" shooting, and In-Out Editing where users can select the IN and OUT points to crop and save only the part of the video clip desired.
i-Flash System with Dual Shot Flash Mode
Fujifilm's i-Flash system ensures your image is always properly exposed with just the right amount of light, resulting in more natural looking subjects and backgrounds that are bright and full of crisp detail. The Dual Shot Flash mode is ideal in those situations where you are not sure if the picture would be better with or without the use of the flash. In this mode, the camera will take two pictures with one press of the shutter button; one with the intelligent flash, to capture a bright, vivid image, and the other using high ISO without flash, to capture the natural ambience of the shot.
Auction & Blog Modes
The Blog Mode of the FinePix Z200fd lets you automatically resize any image you've captured to a 640x480 (VGA) image size, right in the camera, with the touch of a button. Your original high resolution image is saved, and an additional VGA image file is created for use in web applications or email where smaller file sizes and faster load times are needed. The Auction Mode allows users to stitch together multiple photos into a single image right in the camera for easy uploading of multiple views of your merchandize to your favorite auction site.
