I been pleased with the fit. I've bought other wraps of similar material that simply cover the lens loosely, including the lens shoe. This new wrap leaves the lens shoe exposed, making it into a convenient carrying handle. Overall, I would feel the camera is protected whether it's dangling from a strap or stowed inside a backpack or carry-on bag.
