The SwiftCam 3 is an eyepiece digital camera with a 1/3" C-mount female threaded mount, affixed to a flexible gooseneck base. It is intended for use with any microscope which has an optical path that can be configured to a C-mount, but also works as a stand-alone unit.
Video signal from the SwiftCam 3 is output both to USB digital as well as S-video and composite RCA analog outputs. When used with the digital output, you combine the output with the included software to view from your computer.
This is a superb teaching tool, because the view of the sensor is continuously output live to the computer monitor or analog cable. As the instructors adjust the focus and specimen position, a classroom gets to observe along with them. Moving a geared stage to detail various portions of a specimen becomes second nature.
