The Jupiter-8V from Arturia is a virtual synthesizer modelled after Roland's Jupiter 8 synthesizer. Using TAE (True Analog Emulation) the company has been able to accurately reproduce tone, wave shapes, tuning and the other detailed characteristics of the famous analog synthesizer.
More DetailsThe original hardware was successful in part because it was able to create both "fat" and "crystal" type sounds, due to an interesting combination of a high-pass non resonant filter, and a low-pass resonant filter. Fast envelopes and precise oscillators also contributed to the sound, while an arpeggiator and the keyboard split made it a great performance keyboard.
All these features are present in this virtual model.
