Two Section Back Light Stand (3') is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does okay... This is a nice little stand, with a flaw listed below.Since it's two separate pieces, it's very compact when stored. Expertise: Advanced amateur. Portrait Photography... Problems Encountered: The nut on the bottom that holds the 3 legs to the stand itself comes loose constantly. This causes the stand to be fussy and not stand still unless the nut is tightened. Previous Equivalent Item Owned: I own 7 Impact light stands total. 1 of the above, 2 x 8ft, 2 x 13ft boom, 9.5ft heavy duty stand all from B&H... Items I Recommend: Impact 9.5ft Heave Duty stand is awesome if you need a bigger stand...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy and stable legs I've used this product whenever I'm in need of a background light or when I'm photographing kids/babies. However, he main function of this product in my arsenal is to hold umbrellas/soft-boxes at an angle without the need to carry the long boom-arm. I attach one end to an umbrella holder/bracket and the other to a 45 umbrella or the Westcott Apollo soft-box. The weigh down the main light stand base with some sandbags or other heavy object to prevent the entire thing from toppling over in case of wind/accidental shove. Short and light enough to carry in my bag and take minimum space but long enough that I can attach a 45 umbrella or the 28 Apollo soft-box without obstructing the bracket. Base is heavy and durable. No cons; everything is as described.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One great two section back light stand With the two sections I find this stand very versatile for two reasons. The legs are strong & foldable for compact storage (I like to be completely portable)and is tapped with a 1/4 & 3/8 holes to use a side stud(s). This stand also comes with a double ended stud 1/4 - 3/8 for my strobe at the floor level in the center. The top section extends out to three feet and is strong for reliable long term usage (I like that) I can also attach the top section to my super clamp making it even more versatile for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for background lights! Very simple and sturdy stand for background lights. This design allows for minimum height for my lights, with maximum stability. I switched from a mini Manfrotto stand that could not go this low. I bought these for my studio and travel kits. I use the riser in the studio. Not ideal for a weddings, since the legs spread very wide and will show behind a small dress.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I purchased 2 of these stands. One for holding a reflector for headshots and one for a kicker light. They do the job nicely. I'm pleased with them. I only wish they had an option between the top of the stand and the bottom for additional height options. Sometimes it's too tall for my headshot needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as Good I have no problems with Manfrotto at all, and that's what I've bought mostly. Sometimes when you save a few bucks you get a product that you regret. This is not the case with this Impact stand. Very well made piece of gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs I Have a small basement studio and finally bought a background stand that has perfect funtionality. The nut on the bottom gets loose easily so put a little locktite on it and enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great back light stand, versatile This stand can be used with or without the extra extension, so you can get really low if you need to, or pretty high at 3 feet. I use this as my backlight stand, and always take it on location because it comes in handy and folds down so small in 2 pieces. The base is heavy steel legs to allow it to hold most small back lights without worrying about sand bags, which end up touching the ground anyway.
