This has a data port in the back. Could I plug it into a switch and manage it from any PC on my network?
No, the APC Back-UPS CS 500 6-Outlet Backup and Surge Protector, Beige (120v), B&H # APBK500, is not network manageable. The data port is only to communicate with the Powerchute Software.
