The PowerShot E1 incorporates a 10MP resolution CCD, and a 4x Optical Zoom-lens, with Optical Image Stabilization to ensure that your images are sharp and clear- even when shooting pictures at a party or concert. The E1 also features Canon's Face Detection Technology, along with 17 shooting modes, including Easy Mode and useful Scene Modes. In Easy Mode, the camera limits the shooting and playback functions to the basics for easy operation, creating ease-of-use for even the most entry-level camera owner. And if still images just aren't enough to capture an unpredictable moment, the PowerShot E1 digital camera has video recording capabilities. What's more, consumers will never miss a shot, either home or away, because the camera uses readily available AA batteries.

10.0 Megapixel Resolution
The 10.0 megapixel resolution ensures the kind of detail that makes ordinary images extraordinary, and gives you the freedom to crop images and produce large prints that are true-to-life and filled with rich detail.
4x Optical Zoom Lens
The camera's 4x optical zoom lens provides a focal length equivalent of 35-140mm and a fast aperture that can go to f/2.7, so you'll be ready to capture a broad range of shots. Snapshots, landscapes and everything in between are rendered with the clear, bright quality of genuine Canon optics.
Image Stabilizer Technology for Steady Shooting
The Canon PowerShot E1 features their exclusive Image Stabilizer Technology. Camera shake can cause blurring when shooting in low light and at long focal lengths. The advanced Image Stabilizer uses digital technology to detect shake then signal precise lens shifts that effectively cancel it. This means you can take excellent-quality images in many more situations - outdoors at dusk, inside without a flash, anytime when lighting conditions are not ideal.
DIGIC III Processor with Face Detection
Delivering fast, responsive camera performance and superb image rendering, the DIGIC III processor also drives Canon's landmark Face Detection technology that ensures accurate and bright people shots by automatically detecting faces in a scene and optimizing focus and exposure accordingly. Furthermore, the processor incorporates iSAPS scene-recognition technology using an internal database of thousands of different photos to improve focus speed and accuracy, as well as exposure and white balance.
Shoot and View Widescreen Images
A 16:9 widescreen resolution option is included, producing images that are perfect for your widescreen TV or computer monitor.
VGA Movie Recording with Sound
Movie functions include 30fps VGA recording with sound, and can playback onto a PC or a TV via the integrated AV Out connection. You can also shoot full-motion movies at QVGA (320 x240) that are well suited to PC playback, or a 15fps Compact Movie Mode that's ideal for creating movies you can attach to emails.
Wide Range of Shooting Modes
17 Shooting modes help deliver excellent results in almost any situation. Preset Special Scene modes, including Indoor, Beach and Snow, assist with picture taking in tricky lighting conditions, while Color Accent and Color Swap modes enable dramatic color effects to images and movies directly from the camera; keep one color and change the rest to black and white with Color Accent, or exchange one color for another with Color Swap. The E1 also features My Colors photo effects for additional in-camera color customization.
Easy Mode
Canon's Easy mode works in the background to handle all the technical details so you can focus on choosing just the right angle, capturing the perfect expression or framing your shot perfectly. And to make showing off your images just as carefree, it features an Easy Playback mode that makes viewing single images and slideshows on the camera effortless - even if you're new to digital photography.
2.5" LCD Screen

Powered By AA-size Batteries
The E1 camera is powered by common AA batteries that can be purchased at any store; no need to worry about running out of batteries or recharging batteries - simply get new ones locally.
Easy, Flexible Direct Printing Options
Simply connect the camera to a Canon Direct Photo Printer or PictBridge supported printer, press the Print/Share button and print. The Direct Print feature allows for image preview and editing (including cropping) on the camera when connected to a compatible printer. Also use the Print/Share button to transfer images directly to a computer (Windows).
