The Cavalry CyClone 2-Bay External Drive Enclosure from Aluratek is an external enclosure for 3.5" SATA hard disks. It features two drive bays and an integrated RAID controller. The enclosure features USB 2.0 and eSATA ports for connection to a computer.
Please Note: This enclosure supports a maximum capacity of 2TB in a 2x 1TB configuration. It does not support 1.5TB or larger hard drives.
RAID 0 and 1 Support
The drive is configured as a RAID 0 or RAID 1, which treats the two physical disks as one volume. RAID 0 stripes two disks together greatly increases disk performance, without sacrificing capacity. RAID 1 mirrors data to both physical disks, halving total capacity while maintaining a real-time backup.
USB 2.0 and eSATA Interface
The enclosure can connect to a computer via USB 2.0 or eSATA. This allows you to connect it to almost any modern notebook or desktop computer.
Simple Installation
Simply connect the power cable and the data cable of the drive to the ports inside the enclosure. The drive is then ready to be used as a plug and play device.
3.5" Drive Compatibility
The enclosure can be used with 3.5" SATA hard drives. Drives can be of any capacity, but must be installed as a matched pair in regards to capacity in order for the RAID system to properly function.
