If you don’t want to use the lanyard just pull it back through the hole and stow it inside. It’s just perfect size to protect my Nikon TC-14.

Look at the Lowepro Dashboard 10. It fits my RX100m3 perfectly. It is snug but closes nicely. It will strap onto your belt securely, so you don't have to carry it in your pocket. Cost is about $14 @ B&h.
