- Provides Uniform Frequency Pickup
- Includes Cardioid Lavalier
- Prefers On-Axis Capture
The MXL FR-355K Lavalier Kit is a pair of lavalier microphones, one with a cardioid and one with an omnidirectional polar pattern. It is intended to provide the user with options for interviews, instrument capturing, presentations and other applications.
More DetailsThe cardioid pattern microphone yields a generous pickup area while maintaining adequate feedback and noise rejection at the off-axis section of the capsule. The omnidirectional polar pattern microphone provides a uniform frequency response at the direct and off-axis sections of the capsule, and is noted to reject clothing, contact and handling noise more efficiently.
The lavalier pair of mics both require phantom power, feature XLR output connectors and include a windscreen and clothing clip. The modestly priced kit is an ideal solution for in studio interviews, instrument capturing and more.

question
Can I use these to record audio on my Canon 5d M3? Will I need an additional connector? I am new to recording video. Thank you!
Well this is not a matter of connecting. The sound quality of the 5D is not good enough , so u can record your audio on the solid state and then sync in ur edit. This gadget is good, however if you are looking for pro sound and more options and flexibility i suggest for the ZOOM insdead. But ya this lil gadget is good for indie stuff on a budget

question
hello i just buy a zoom 4h and a set of two lavaliers... but i need the adapter to plu in the lavalier to the zoom, questiion is this the accesori i need?
This is a set of 2 lavaliers with XLR connectors. I'm pretty sure a zoom can accommodate them (they would require 48v to operate). These are not 'adapters'.

question
Can they be put directly into a 3.5mm jack for smart phone recording?
Perhaps with and adaptor, I have never done this though.

question
Would the phantom power from a Shure SCM268 (12v) power these mics?
I believe so I use this mic on a professional video camera and I use 48v phantom power and it works fine but I did some research and it should work fine.

question
I recently purchased a zoom F4. When I plugged in one of my laveliers it seems only one side is working. So I plugged in the other lavelier and get the same result. To make sure it's not my headset , I listened to pre-recorded music. My headset are ok. So I also checked to make sure nothing is panned on the zoom f4. I haven't used my laveliers hardly at all over a few years. Then it was only once. Weird?
I would check and make sure you have mono mix on for the Zoom, and it's taking the XLR channels individually, not trying to do anything with a stereo mix which might have caused your one channel in headphones.

question
What is the best XLR connector cable to use with this mic set?
This microphones have XLR male connector. Professional camcorders and audio mixers have XLR female inputs. So any XLR (M-F) cabe can be used for connection. If you also need to connect these microphones to a device with any other type of input, you should buy also special adapter.
