I have several of these devices and they work perfectly. What would have made it a 5-star device would be if there were lights on the front to indicate sockets occupied and sockets activated.

power distributor needs a switch

seemed reasonably well built, but a power switch (not an unreliable rocker type} would be a good addition

The Furman D10-PFP Power Distributor is a power distributor only, and offers no conditioning or surge protection functions. The Furman M-8x2 Merit Series 8 Outlet Power Conditioner & Surge Protector (BH #FUM8X2) is a great option that combines power distribution and conditioning with surge protection.
