NEC NP600 LCD XGA 3500 Lumens Projector
Key Features
  • 3500 Lumens
  • 500:1 Contrast Ratio
  • XGA (1024 x 768)
  • NTSC, PAL, SECAM
The NEC NP600 is a 3500 lumens XGA projector that's low-priced and full-featured. It's network ready and it can even email you to let you know when the lamp is nearing the end of its useful life. That's smart. But smart features abound in the NP600.

You might not always have a screen to project on so you'll appreciate the eight modes of wall color correction available from blackboard to pink.

If its built-in seven watt speaker isn't loud enough just use the variable audio out feature to feed your program's audio to externally powered speakers.

The NP600 is not just smart, it's versatile.

It's ready for the world with its 100 to 240 V AC power supply and compatibility with major video standards like NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M, PAL-60 and SECAM. It can also project 720p and 1080i HDTV and it works with more than 40 Mac and PC video standards.

Energy saving features abound in the NP600. It can automatically turn on when it receives a signal on one of its RGB inputs. And it has a sleep timer to automatically shut down after a pre-determined time (That's great for keeping meetings short!) In Eco mode the projection lamp can last as long as 4000 hours as power consumption drops from 295 to 240 watts and fan noise drops from 35 dB to a literally whisper quiet 29 dB. In standby mode the projector draws only three watts.

3500 Lumens and a 500:1 Contrast Ratio
You've got the projection power you need to present in medium to large rooms even with some ambient light present, as when your audience needs to take notes.
Variable Audio Out
A powerful 7-watt speaker provides volume needed for large rooms. But if it's not enough, variable audio out enables you use the remote to adjust the volume of self-powered external speakers that are connected to the projector. In stand-by mode, the audio-out stays active, allowing the last input used to pass to the self-powered external speakers.
Virtual Remote (DDC/CI)
This feature allows you to control the projector over the VGA cable, with no other cables required.
Autosense
Autosense intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and features one-touch image optimization.
Automatic Keystone Correction
Automatic keystone correction technology instantly projects a square image even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle to the screen.
Advanced AccuBlend
Advanced AccuBlend ensures detailed images when non-native resolution sources (those other than XGA) are connected to the projector.
Eco Mode Saves Energy and Money
Energy use goes from 295 watts to 240 watts in Eco mode while lamp life is extended to up to 4000 hours. (If you use the projector about 20 hours a week that's about four years.) Fan noise decreases too—from 35 dB to 29 dB, which is literally quieter than a whispered conversation. In standby mode the projector draws a scant 3 watts.
World Ready
With its 100 V AC – 240 V AC 50/60 Hz power supply you can take the NP600 just about anywhere. That's also due to the fact that it conforms to most TV signal standards used worldwide: NTSC (the North American standard), NTSC4.43, PAL, PAL-60, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM. It can also project 720p and 1080i high definition signals and it's compatible with more than 40 Mac and PC resolution/frequency/refresh rate combinations.
Closed Captioning
With Closed Captioning (from program sources that provide) you reach your entire audience, including those who are hard of hearing and those learning English as a foreign language. It's also a help when you're projecting in a noisy environment such as a tradeshow kiosk.
LAN Ready
With its built-in RJ45 (Ethernet) jack the NP600 can be controlled remotely via a LAN or WAN. It even has its own HTML page from which you can set various operating parameters. You can even tell the projector to email you when the lamp is nearing the end of its useful life.
