It seems that every high-end projector being released nowadays continues to impress with precision and innovation. The same can be said for the PLV-HD2000 from Sanyo. The beamer offers a 3D digital progressive circuit and a hybrid crosstalk canceller, which both work towards achieving truly beautiful images. It employs three high-precision LCD panels with a native 2048 x 1080 resolution. This is teamed with an advanced optical system that achieves a high contrast level to project top-quality images with rich black reproduction and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, maximizing the excellence of the video signals.
Sanyo has developed a 12-bit signal processing circuit that will assure impressive image quality from virtually any source, including HDTV content. The Dual-Link SDI (serial digital interface) projects life-like images from 2K (2048 x 1080) signals to bring exceptionally high image quality to digital content. It also renders beautiful images from HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals through a single link.
The technology behind this camera is phenomenal. It includes Intelligent Sharpness Control, which helps render crisp projection. It improves the color purity of the three primary colors (red, blue and green) to deliver an overall color performance that's ideal for digital cinema. The 3D Automatic Uniformity Correction Control (AUCC) circuit ensures a uniform projected image, balancing uneven color and brightness gradations for more true-to-life images. The motor-driven lens shift allows the user to position the image easily even after the projector is installed.
It uses four 300-watt UHP lamps to achieve 7,000 lumens of brightness. If a lamp should burn out or die, the intelligently designed projector automatically switches the lamp mode without interrupting the projection, making the beamer a virtually fail-safe tool.
