This canon pro platinum paper seems to add snap to the color prints I made. I use the pixma pro 200 printer and the paper seems like it is made for this printer. However I don't think it's cost effective as it does cost 22.00 per ten sheets. You can buy the pro luster 67.00$ and get fifty sheets. If you use this paper along with canon printer with chroma color inks the print is supposed to last 200 years. I would use this paper for my very best work only or if you are making family heirlooms. If like to make color prints and you use canon printers I believe you will be very happy the results. I rarely shoot black and white so I can't speak to that. I'm a hobbyist photographer. That is my disclaimer.

The Pro Platinum Photo Paper from Canon is designed for use with ChromaLife100+ dye based inks where prints can achieve a life of over 200 years when stored in an album. The PIXMA PRO-1 Inkjet Photo Printer uses pigment-based inks from the Canon LUCIA family. The Pro Platinum paper is excellent and will work, but prints will have a Semi Gloss finish. What is the recommended ICC profile for an Epson P900 printer. I'd like to use the Pro Platinum Glossy paper?

The Canon Pro Platinum Photo Paper, when used in the Epson P900, should be set to Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy, but you would probably see better results using an Epson paper or creating your own customer paper profile of the Canon paper.

Yes. If it is better than an everyday photo printer check if using a profile or other means to match to the appropriate setting of your printer. But in general this is a nice paper and of very good general use.
