I have been using Canon’s Pro Photo Paper since 2016. At that time, I made the switch from Epson’s pigment based system to Canon’s dye based system. I immediately started using pro platinum because it was specifically designed for use with my printer. It was and still is Canon’s premier paper. It is noted for printing deep blacks, and vivid colors. I have attached several recent images. Note The detail on the signs in the Bric a Brac image. For the past week or so, I have been converting a number of travel photos to pen and ink. The results using Pro Platinum have been spectacular. Yes, it is expensive but it worth it. Dave
I've used Canon Photo Paper Pro Platinum with a Canon PRO-200S, and after printing a variety of images, from portraits to richly colored fine art pieces, I'm extremely impressed. The first thing that stands out is the depth and richness of the colors. Reds are vibrant without looking artificial, skin tones remain smooth and natural, and the paper produces beautiful contrast with deep blacks and bright highlights. What surprised me most was how much dimension this paper adds. Images almost seem to glow, especially portraits and photographs with strong color. The glossy finish gives prints a premium, gallery quality appearance while maintaining excellent detail. I've always been a luster paper fan, but Pro Platinum has made me rethink that preference. Certain images simply come alive on this paper. Highly recommended for anyone using Canon dye printers who wants a true display-quality print. B&H packaged everything perfectly and delivered exactly as expected. Would definitely purchase again.
