Allen & Heath XONE:4D - Hybrid Analog DJ Mixer, MIDI Controller, & USB 2.0 Interface

The XONE:4D from Allen & Heath is a hybrid analog DJ mixer, MIDI controller, and USB 2.0 computer audio interface. It provides seamless integration between analog and computer-based DJing systems. Having high-quality analog circuitry, MIDI control, and computer connectivity in a single device truly streamlines the work-flow of modern DJing, and the full support of popular DJing applications such as Ableton Live and Traktor Scratch further enhances the usability of the XONE:4D.

Besides being nice to look at, with scores of bright LEDs and a UV reactive paint job that glows in low-light environments, the XONE:4D offers outstanding sound quality. Its analog section is based off of Allen & Heath's popular XONE:92 mixer. It features multiple inputs for vinyl turntables and CD decks, 2 effects sends/returns, and 3-band full-cut EQ on every channel. Also present are 2 analog VCF filters with 3 switched bands, swept frequency, resonance and tap tempo LFO control.

On the digital end of the spectrum, the XONE:4D offers two strips of MIDI control with switches, rotaries, faders, and jog wheels. A shift mode enables every control to be mapped to a second function, with a pick-up algorithm that allows the two pages to co-exist in harmony. The built-in sound card has a fast USB 2.0 connection offering 96 kHz/24-bit resolution. The XONE:4D is certified for use with Traktor Scratch software, and fully supported in Ableton Live 7 and 8.
