Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link Display Adapter, with USB Extension is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working Great! Using this Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link Display Adapter, with USB Extension by Apple to connect a 30 Cinerma display to the MacPro (cylinder). Working great now, however I had to call Apple tech support because nowhere on Apple's site or in the instructions (sarcasm), it was explicitly explained that in order for the display-computer to work at the right resolution, both the USB and the DVI connectors needed to be plugged in. Something that I don't like is the fact that Cinema displays have a DVI, USB and Firewire connectors out; this extension cable only supports USB and DVI, not a big deal, except that there's an unplugged cable hanging out of the connections.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The only reason I bought this is because I have to. If you are still limping along a 30 Apple display then chances are you have to buy this adapter. I tried an off-brand first and the $20 savings wasn't enough to compensate for some annoyances it created. This one is only slightly better but it works most of the time. The only hang up is if the monitor is in sleep mode for extended periods of time upon wake it will flash on and off. The simple fix is to unplug the monitor for a couple seconds and plug it back in. Then I'm good for several days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Necessary solution but expensive. I've been using it for three months and it works fine with my HPZR30W. It does require the use of a thunderbolt port and a USB port on my MacPro to connect to the dual link DVI on my monitor. It will not work without the use of both ports. I feel it is too expensive for what it does but either that or buy a new monitor...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A big help with a Mac Pro I had to purchase this so I could use a third monitor with my 2013 Mac Pro. Without it, the computer can only handle 2 HD monitors. It works great. Plugged it in to the computer and connected the adapter to the dvi port on my third monitor. and everything works. I'm not happy that I had to buy this in order to use three monitors. But now that everything is working, I'm satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Link my Cintiq and MacBook Pro I used this adapter to link my Wacom Cintiq 22HD to my MacBook Pro. Works just it was supposed to. My only challenge was figuring out what part I needed to link the two. I had to ask someone at work who has the same set up. Two brick and mortar stores were not able to help me. Once I figured out the part I needed, ordering it from B&H was easy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product This item works perfectly, no glitches at all, with my Mac Air 11 inch laptop and an Apple 30 inch cinema screen. My G5 tower needed an upgraded video card to run the same screen at full resolution... and here I am using my tiny little Air with the 30 inch screen with this adapter... no noise from a big video card... and I get full resolution!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job, only minor complaints I use it to connect my 2014 MacBook Air to an Asus external monitor. I wish it did not use up BOTH the MiniDisplay port and the USB. I only have two USB's, so was not expecting to have to give one up to use the monitor. Another thing that is not B&H's fault: the adapter cost more than the monitor. But it gets the job done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use with a MacPro and 2 Monitors I needed this cable to get matching resolutions on the 2 NEC Monitors that I was using with my Mac Pro. I had originally ordered another cable (MiniDisplay Port Adaptor) and the resolutions on each monitor were different. The only other options was to add a second graphics card and that was very expensive. This works great.
