Will this work on the AVX mount. I need a total of 17lbs and this would fill the bill, if it would fit the AVX?

Yes, the 17 lb counterweight for the CGEM EQ Mount is designed to fit 19mm counterweight shafts, which includes the one used on an Advanced VX mount.
