DMW-MA1 Mount Adapter to Mount Four Thirds Lens on Micro Four Thirds Camera is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from DMW-MA1+EP-1+SUIKO 70-300mm = Great! I need the adapter because I've just bought an Oly Pen EP-1. There wasn't really much lens available for the mFT system at the moment so I wanted to use the regular FT lenses. I was doubtful at first, because I didn't really know if the Panasonic adapter would work with the autofocus on the EP-1. I really couldn't wait for Oly's version of the adapter so I went ahead and bought this. Thing(s) that are great: It just works flawlessly. Autofocus works. The dark grey color sort of matches the EP-1's silver color. Thing(s) that aren't so great: I haven't found a flaw just yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT! recommended Just got this as a present for my Olympus epl-1 for the longest time i've been debating which one to get.. Olympus mmf 1,2,3, etc. or panasonic.. you would think you would want a olympus brand for your olympus camera but you cant deny the price of the panansonic one and the reviews finally my gf just went out and bought it for me b/c i couldn't make up my mind and i have to say, i am very pleased w/ it.. auto focus was alot faster than i anticipated it to be, especially in decent indoor lighting.. if you are out in the sun or a regular afternoon day, you wouldn't even kno you had a adapter on price is perfect, go for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than both MMF's For all of you which are asking yourselves the same questions as I did: - YES, it will work the same as an Olympus MMF-1/MMF-2 adapter, it's basically the same thing. - YES, this adapter has the same metallic construction as the first generation Olympus adapter (the MMF-1, which costs almost twice the price when you can find it). - YES, it costs even less than the Olympus MMF-2 adapter, which has a flimsy plastic construction. A no brainer, isn't it ? Oh, and you get a nice Lumix body cap with it. It's always exotic on a Olympus body :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with D Vario Elmarit 14-50 but... I got this for a Panasonic GF1 to use with my 4/3 lenses from my L1. Works very well. There is NO loss of light like you'd normally see on adapters (ie. your f2.8 will still be f2.8!). Best of all, it works with the aperture ring on my D Vario Elmarit 14-50. Awesome! Down side: does not autofocus on that lens. Will manual focus normally (with functioning focus assist, you know, the zoom in thing) without any adjustment in settings. This is a technical choice made by Panasonic and is a characteristic of the body, not the adapter. Perhaps a firmware update will change this in the future, but I haven't seen one as of this writing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly useful One of the strong points of the micro 4/3 format is the ability to use adapters to utilize a wide variety of lenses on the cameras. I have an Olympus EP1 and I am able to use my Leica lenses (in manual focus) with a Voigtlander adapter and 4/3 format lenses with this Panasonic adapter. Thus far, I only have the Olympus 25/2.8 lens to use with the adapter. With the Panasonic adapter, the lens focuses and functions as expected. While I don't expect I will use a lot of lenses with the micro 4/3 format cameras, I do like the versatility. The Panasonic adapter is a little less expensive than the Olympus one--the reason I chose it. It appears to be well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DMW-MA1 ...Sweeeeet! I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this adapter, but decided to go ahead anyway. I must say I am happy to report this adapter did connect the Olympus 70-300mm 4/3 lens to my Panasonic G1. Powering up the camera resulted in manual focus mode only! I updated the camera firmware from 1.0 to the latest (download from Panasonic web site). Then updated the lens firmware (download from the olympus web site) via the camera. Viola! full autofocus mode on the Olympus lens! The 70-300 lens is mounted on the G1 is equivalent to a 140-600mm!. Sweeeet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I like that you can use Summilux 25mm with it and use aperture ring on the lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Adapter extends uses of camera I am using the adapter to attach an OM Macro lens to my G1. It works very well and I am getting some great images out of it. The only issue is that sometimes I get a prompt to check if the lens is on the camera as if the contacts are lost
