Chief KWK110 Reviews

KWK110 requires wood stud for install

By Clifford T.
Rated 2 out of 5
Date: 2012-03-28

This product FAILED to be installed at our site yesterday because we do NOT have wood studs in the wall, and we can't put in a wood backboard between two aluminum hollow studs. B&H is currently saying this is a Special order item that can not be returned (it cost $ w/shipping) and yet Milestone (the Mfg) concurs that the device must be on a wood stud. We are waiting for Milestone to issue an RMA to B&H in order to get a return and refund. The is NO warning on the Milestone or B&H web sites that the KWK110 requires a wood stud, and B&H did NOT post any notice that this device is a special order in regards to return / refund options. I would recommend this device ONLY for installations where clear access to a WOOD stud is available.
